Hunger Statistics in Northeast Florida

  • Over 320,000 people lack food to meet their basic needs.

  • 1 in 6 adults and 1 in 4 children are food deprived and don’t know where their next meal is coming from.

  • 53.3% of children in Duval County receive free or reduced lunches and many go hungry on the weekend.

  • Of those who receive food services in North East Florida: 

       *34% face the choice every month of buying food or buying medicine.

       *33% face the choice every month of buying food or paying their rent/mortgage.



Daily Manna Serving Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization that helps households in the North Riverside area of Jacksonville, FL fight poverty by providing resources and opportunities to increase food security, reduce preventable health conditions, and promote family stability.

Our organization serves in the name of love and brotherhood as we follow the principles of Jesus Christ.

We serve up to 1,000 families weekly with free groceries. 

Monthly we will be giving out household items (tissue, paper towels and etc.), a special thank you goes to The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida.

***Food distribution days are Tuesdays 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. for the senior citizen community (65+) and Thursdays 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. for the general public.
